Bad Hair Bad!!

It is Thursday and another gray, ugly bad hair day. What can you do but cover your hair or tie it back or just ignore the frizz and pretend you meant it to look like that.
I for one am of the idea that no one but no one should have to deal with bad weather hair.
In the past we used to spray anti-humetant sprays. They would glue your hair into submission. Then we tried pomades. They would grease your hair into a slimy mess.
Texturizers would fry fine hair and Japanese Thermal Reconditioners would make you have Cher hair.
For years we looked for the ultimate answer on how to make frizzy hair better without sacrificing the hair to the Devil.
Finally we discovered Keratin Treatments! Yeah for the genius that invented this stuff. The method is harmless, it can work on the most damaged hair and better than any conditioner for repairing the worst fried, dyed and over dried hair. It is a simple method taking a flat iron of appropriate temperature shrink wrapping the hair with a Keratin Protein (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keratin) that seals, smooths and protects each and every strand on the head.

Three summers have past since we introduced DC to this miracle cure. Time for you to take a look?

Diary of a Hairdresser

Dear Diary,
It is Saturday and a busy day at that. Looking around at the bustling salon and the beautiful work being done and the energy in the place , makes me proud.

This is where I belong , in amongst the best. Watching Romano doing one of his signature, blow dries, Helen do an amazing English influenced haircut or Joseph slide through an Bob haircut that has a very modern edge. It never seizes to amaze me!

Ruth's Japanese Straightening expertise over here, Tam's undetectable hair extensions over there and Gabi working on a Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

The color table seems to be getting allot of action late today, Iryna's just finished what looked like an impossible color correction and it is looking good, Annette skips from hi lite to the next while Sally , our own Shop Coordinator and resident DJ makes the music soar.

Why do I write this? Just bragging? Blowing my own horn?

Nah, just stating publicly how proud of all the hard work, training and dedication this team really has, at the end of the day that is what it is all about, the team.

So where is your team? When was the last time you stated there successes personally or publicly?

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own stuff you forget to stop and appreciate the people around you.

Today I stopped, I looked and I took accountability to thank and praise them.

Remember the best thing in life is to live it, let those close to you join in and occasionally stop and enjoy what you have.

Peace*Love.
